THE cast of Beauty and the Beast at Theatr Colwyn have been hard at work preparing for their first show on Saturday (December 20).
Magic Light Productions will mark 15 magical years of pantomime at the Colwyn Bay theatre with its enchanting new pantomime, where only love can break the spell.
Running from December 20 2025 to January 3 2026, this year’s show features an entirely professional cast from the area. The performance will feature illusions, lively puppetry, and plenty of comedy, continuing the tradition that has made Magic Light’s annual pantomime a cherished part of Christmas in North Wales.

Producers Libby and Stuart Loughland own and run Magic Light Productions.
Libby said: "Reaching 15 years at Theatr Colwyn is something we never take for granted.
"The support we've received from audiences, local performers and the wider community has been incredible, and we're so grateful to everyone who has made this journey possible."
The cast includes much-loved comic Steve Bloor, returning for his 15th consecutive year as the panto’s comic character Percy Panad, alongside Jade Pritchard as Belle and Rob Edwards as Prince Madoc / The Beast.
Both Jade and Rob are performers from the area who auditioned through the company’s open call.
The production also showcases dancers from Pearl Shaw School of Performing Arts, choreographed by Ellie Perrin, and features the ever-popular Magic Light Puppets UV routine.
A relaxed performance will take place on December 29 at 7pm, offering a more flexible theatre experience for those with learning difficulties, neurodivergence, or anyone who would benefit from a calmer environment.
Tickets are priced at £19 (adults), £17 (concessions), and £13 (under 16s).
Book online at theatrcolwyn.co.uk or via the box office.
