AFTER seven West End seasons, a record‑breaking UK and Ireland tour and more than thirty productions worldwide, the stage phenomenon 2:22 A Ghost Story is heading to Llandudno.
The show arrives with serious pedigree, having won Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards and built a reputation as one of the most gripping modern supernatural thrillers.
The Venue Cymru run will star James Bye (EastEnders), Natalie Casey (2 Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps), Shvorne Marks (Three Little Birds), and Grant Kilburn.
A modern ghost story with bite
Written by Danny Robins, creator of the hit BBC podcasts Uncanny and The Battersea Poltergeist, the play comes to North Wales fresh from record‑breaking seasons at five West End theatres.
It has become known for its sharp humour, escalating tension and star‑studded casts, all wrapped around one central question: What do you believe?
Audiences can expect a night of adrenaline, secrets and things that may—or may not—go bump in the night.
What’s the story?
The play centres on Jenny, who is convinced her new home is haunted. Her husband Sam is sceptical, and the couple’s first dinner with old friend Lauren and her new partner Ben quickly turns into a clash of belief and doubt.
As the night unfolds, something feels increasingly strange and frightening. The group decide to stay awake until 2:22 to settle the question once and for all.
The production’s chilling hook remains one of its most quoted lines: “There’s something in our house. i hear it every night, at the same time.”
The play runs at Venue Cymru from April 27 to May 2, with performances starting at 7.30pm.
