HOMEWARE giant Dunelm has confirmed when its new store at Mostyn Champneys Retail Park in Llandudno will open.
The retailer is set to open in the former Wilko unit, which closed on September 12, 2023, after the company went into administration. Work is already underway to transform the space into a Dunelm store, with the opening scheduled for July.
The first Jobs have also gone live. Positions available include deputy store manager, stock and team leader roles. The new store is set to create 25 jobs, including five full-time positions.
Hoardings first appeared around the site a few weeks ago before being removed, and a grey fenced-off area has now been installed.
Plans for alterations to the unit - for a mezzanine floor extension and five bicycle stands - were approved by Conwy County Borough Council in December 2025.

A spokesperson from Dunelm told the Pioneer: "Dunelm will be opening a new store at the former Wilko site at Mostyn Champneys Retail Park in Llandudno. Work has begun on the site, with the new store scheduled to open in July 2026.
"We’re excited to be bringing Dunelm to the town, creating new local job opportunities, and we look forward to sharing more details in the coming months."
Dunelm (Soft Furnishings) Ltd is a well-known British retailer offering homewares, furniture, and made-to-measure window treatments, operating both in-store and online.
