NANDO'S has kicked off recruitment as it prepares to open a brand-new restaurant in Llandudno, officially confirming its arrival in the popular seaside town.
The well-loved South African-owned chain, famous for its flame-grilled peri-peri chicken, is set to take over a unit at 2A Mostyn Street.
Two full-time roles - Assistant Manager and Assistant General Manager - have been listed on the company’s official website in recent days, signalling that preparations for the opening are well underway. The closing date for applications is April 20.
As part of the job description, Nando’s said: “We do things a bit differently round here. More than just a job, we have each other’s backs, we inspire each other and we don’t take ourselves too seriously - we’re family.
“We want Nandocas (our team members) to be happy and do well. Whatever your path, we’re here to run brilliant shifts. We want to make money, change lives and have fun at the same time.”
Reports last year suggested Nando’s was eyeing a site in Llandudno.
The unit at 2A Mostyn Street was previously occupied by Statement Homes & Gifts, which has since relocated to Upper Mostyn Street while it searches for larger premises.
Mark and Amanda Richards were forced to seek a pop-up store after surrendering their lease at short notice last month.
In November 2025, the chain said it was accelerating UK restaurant openings after reporting stronger sales and profits. However, it also warned that increased cost pressures following tax and wage rises in April could affect performance in the current financial year.

Rob Papps, group chief executive of Nando’s, said at the time: “The 2025 financial year saw Nando’s continue to deliver a strong sales performance driven by robust consumer demand for our flame-grilled peri-peri chicken, supported by our strong brand and customer proposition.
“The macro-economic outlook for the financial year ending February 2026 remains uncertain. However, we see significant growth potential in all our markets and are continuing to invest for the future, with further menu innovation, enhancements to our digital capabilities and new restaurant openings planned, including 14 in the UK.”
Nando’s has been approached for comment.
Mostyn Estates told the Pioneer they were unable to comment at this time.
