THE name of the new dental practice set to open at Bodlondeb, which hopes to see between 200 and 250 patients a day, has been revealed, along with the number of jobs it is set to create.
Dental Academy Conwy has signed a 20-year lease at the redevelopment site and is aiming to open this summer, subject to planning approval and inspection by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
The new practice will create about 20 new jobs and is set to improve access to dentistry. The facility will feature 10 treatment rooms and offer both NHS and private dental treatments.
The project is being led by practice owners Darren King and Ravi Singh, who have worked together since 2013 and have extensive NHS experience.
The pair are also behind the existing Dental Academy Bangor, which works in partnership with Bangor University to help train hygienists and dental therapy students.

Mr King said: “We are really excited to bring Dental Academy Conwy to Bodlondeb. We have always been passionate about providing high-quality dental care while also creating opportunities for local people through training and career progression.”
Mr Singh said: “Our experience at Dental Academy Bangor has shown the importance of investing in people and working closely with the local community.
“We are looking forward to building something special in Conwy.”
The partners say the Bangor practice has already created 25 jobs, with more than half filled by Welsh speakers from the area. They also highlighted ongoing staff development opportunities, including supporting dental nurses in further professional training.
Nick Pritchard, director of Quidos Investments, said: “We are delighted to welcome Dental Academy Conwy to Bodlondeb. Securing a long-term commitment from such an experienced healthcare provider is a major boost for the site and for Conwy as a whole.
“This development will not only improve access to dental services locally, but also create skilled jobs and bring significant daily footfall into the area as Bodlondeb continues to evolve.”
The Bodlondeb offices and surrounding land, including the main car park, were leased to Quidos Investments Limited in May 2025 under a 250-year agreement.
The arrival of Dental Academy Conwy marks a significant milestone in Quidos Investments’ ongoing regeneration of the site. It will form part of a mixed-use hub featuring a games hub for companies and a “collaboration café”. The plans were approved by Conwy Council’s planning committee on May 13.
Managed parking has also been introduced at the site.
