Snowdonia Nurseries Garden Centre opens new Busy Bee Snug!

The Busy Bee Snug has opened at The Olive Tree Café at Snowdonia Nurseries Garden Centre in Glan Conwy.

The space, aimed at children under five, includes non-screen activities. There is a children’s menu with a range of options, as well as an area to park prams.

A spokesperson for Snowdonia Nurseries said: “As a family-run business, we are always looking for ways to include customers of all ages and situations in our plans, and we really enjoy considering how we can provide spaces for various groups.

“The Busy Bee Snug came about when we considered our own experiences raising the next generation - as parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles etc - and we started trying to tick certain boxes.

"Luckily, we had the perfect space for under-5s. The final piece of the puzzle was moving from table service to a more independent counter service system which means we could install extra seating without increasing waiting times across the board.

"We are so pleased with the results and feedback has been incredibly positive.

"We are already receiving more suggestions for extra touches like a Toddler’s Picky Bits option for the children’s menu, and we have widened our cake and traybake offering to make it even easier to drop in for a snack and some ‘me’ time with your toddler.

Snowdonia Nurseries & Garden Centre is a fourth-generation, independent family-run business located on the Llanrwst Road.

Established in 1984 by Richard Evans with the help of his father, the centre has grown from a small plant nursery into a day-trip destination.

The spokesperson added: “The new snug acts as a lovely link to another room we have, which we name the ‘Green Room’, which has cosy seating and a very popular book swap, which raises money for charity, and a jigsaw table where members of our community can pop in and relax.”
