Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have issued a statement following the shock departure of Michael Williamson as Wrexham AFC chief executive.
Mr Williamson, who joined the club in 2024, leaves after more than two years in the role, with club director Shaun Harvey taking over as acting CEO.
Following the announcement, co-chairmen Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac issued a joint statement on behalf of the Wrexham AFC board.
Their statement in full reads: "We thank Michael Williamson for his two years at Wrexham and for his work taking the club from League 1 to the Championship.
"Since our takeover five years ago, Wrexham have had historic success on the pitch and won hearts all over the globe.
"We remain focused on our most important task: to make the Wrexham community proud.
"Shaun Harvey has been an integral part of this journey from the beginning, and we know Shaun will give every support to Phil Parkinson and the lads on the pitch while keeping the broader Wrexham community roaring us on.”

Mr Williamson was appointed chief executive in May 2024, shortly after Wrexham had secured promotion to League One under Phil Parkinson.
He arrived with the club preparing for its return to the third tier of English football after back-to-back promotions.
Wrexham went on to secure a third successive promotion the following season, finishing second in League One and reaching the Championship for the first time since 1978.
Williamson's time at the club also coincided with significant developments away from the pitch.
In November 2025, he was named Football Industry Leader of the Year at the inaugural Global Football Industry Awards.
At the time, Wrexham highlighted his involvement in the establishment of a new academy facility at Darland High School, growth across the club's Women and Girls' department and work surrounding the Kop development.

Mr Harvey is already a familiar figure at Wrexham and has extensive experience in senior positions within English football.
He previously served as chief executive of the English Football League between 2013 and 2019, having earlier been chief executive at Leeds United and held senior positions at Bradford City.
Mr Harvey will now serve as acting chief executive following Williamson's departure.
No reason for Williamson's exit was given in the club statement.
