AN IMPRESSIVE 47 personal best times were smashed by Winsford Swimming Club members at the Everton Park Open Meet.
Taking on top squads from Chester, Liverpool and Stockport, Winsford managed 20 finalists and three swimmers finished in the top 10 in the overall rankings.
Robert Charlton, Nigel Davies and Stephanie Buckley all set six new personal best times, Charlotte Buckley swam four and George Charlton, Jack Millington and Emma Almond all managed three each.
Ashley Walton swam 50m in each stroke, finishing first in the backstroke, third in the freestyle and fourth in the breaststroke and butterfly.
Abi Tetley also impressed by finishing second in the 50m butterfly, third in the 100m backstroke and fourth in the 50m backstroke, 100, butterfly and the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle to finish third overall in the girls 14 years and over category.
Her sister, Lucie, took overall third place in the 12-year-old girls BAGCATS Awards after finishing third in the 100m and 200m breaststroke and the 200m freestyle, fourth in the 200m individual medley and 100m breaststroke and fifth in the 50m breaststroke.
Molly Thompson gained final places in the 50m breaststroke, 50m freestyle and 50m butterfly while Stephanie Buckley made the last eight in both the 100m and 200m breaststroke.
