A COLWYN Bay FC player has been suspended indefinitely.

The club said that this was "following an incident over the bank holiday weekend" last week.

In a club statement, the player was not named.

A Colwyn Bay FC statement read: "The club can confirm that a member of the first team squad has been suspended indefinitely pending further investigations following an incident over the bank holiday weekend.

"The club will not be making any further comment at this time."

Colwyn Bay FC secured the JD Cymru North title and sealed promotion to the Cymru Premier for the first time in the club's history last weekend.

The Old Colwyn-based club returned to Welsh football in 2019 having played in the English pyramid system for 35 years, with the club reaching the National League North.
