CONWY parkrun has been suspended until June.
The event, which takes place at the RSPB Nature Reserve in Llandudno Junction, has been paused whilst work takes place on the route.
A new Welsh Cycle route is to cut through a large section of the existing 5k course. Work is expected to start on March 8 and last for at least 14 weeks.
The new route, to also include the building of two new bridges and a proposed cycle route through to Betws-y-Coed, will result in the 'complete closure' of the existing riverside trail, until about June 14.
A statement on social media by Conwy parkrun said: "As I’m sure you’ll know by now, owing to matters outside our control, we’ve had to temporarily suspend Conwy parkrun until June 14. That means there will be 13 parkrun days where we are unable to host an event.
"I know that this is hugely disappointing for all of us, but we’d like to keep the spirit of Conwy parkrun alive during the enforced break and encourage our wonderful Conwy parkrun community to stay involved, stay active and stay in touch.

"The break offers us an opportunity to engage in a bit of parkrun tourism. We suggest that you use our Facebook page to post about parkruns you plan to visit that week. If you can, we would appreciate if you’re able to offer car pooling opportunities to local parkruns. Not everyone has access to transport so car pooling would be a great means for people to attend a parkrun in an eco-friendly way.
"If you’re going to take the time on a Saturday morning to run or walk on your own or with a friend away from parkrun, run a (not) parkrun or take part in a race etc, we would very much appreciate if you could share your photographs on our Facebook page so that we can all see our Conwy parkrun friends staying active. On Saturday, about 400 runners packed the Conwy parkrun course for an emotional event ahead of the 'pause'.
This event attracted a host of visiting clubs and social runners from across the UK, including representatives from Cardiff, Ripon, Oswestry, Widnes, Sandbach, Pitreavie and Brecon.
