TWO people suffered serious injuries after their home was broken into by thieves holding weapons
The incident took place on Abergele Road in Colwyn Bay at about 11.20pm on Saturday, June 19.
North Wales Police said the occupants were taken to hospital and their injuries are not said to be life-threatening.
An appeal has been launched for witnesses and people with information related to the incident.
“We are appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary in Colwyn Bay last night,” a police statement said.
“At 11:20pm officers were called to an address on Abergele Road following a report that two people had entered a flat and assaulted it’s two occupants using weapons.
“Both occupants, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital with serious injuries but thankfully the injuries are not deemed life threatening.”
Detective constable Sean Harrison said: “Our enquiries are underway and we are urging anybody who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour on Abergele Road, near to the junction of Rhiw Road to contact us.”
