LLANDUDNO's new two-storey McDonald's will open on Wednesday (June 16).

The existing McDonald's restaurant on Mostyn Champney Retail Park will move into the new larger site next to Iceland.

Doors will open at 11am.

Franchisee Phil Lowndes said: “We look forward to opening our doors at 11am on Wednesday, June 16 and welcoming customers into the restaurant.

"I’m so pleased that this investment in Llandudno means that the town will have the first double storey McDonald’s in North Wales, and we have been able to recruit more people to our excellent team as a result.”

Building work started on the site earlier this year.

The existing restaurant, opposite Argos, is set to be demolished.

In January, an Argos spokesperson told the Pioneer that the landlord for their Llandudno store had given notice on the building.

Aldi is expected to take on the store and it is hoped Argos can be re-located to another unit on the site.
