COLWYN Bay have arranged a high-profile series of friendlies to ready themselves for the upcoming season.

The Seagulls, who will once again be led by manager Alan Morgan, assistant Craig Hogg and coach Neil Coverley, announced a seven-date schedule ahead of the Ev-stik League campaign that is set to start on August 19.

Crewe Alexandra visit the 4 Crosses Construction Arena on Wednesday, July 11th, with Colchester United the opponents on July 13 (7pm kick off).

This will be followed by a home clash against Huws Gray Alliance champions and newly promoted JD Welsh Premier League side Caernarfon Town on July 17, before travelling to second tier side Airbus Broughton on July 24.

Bangor City will be next up for the Seagulls on Tuesday, July 24, and other fixtures that are confirmed are Nantwich Town at home and Stalybridge Celtic away on Jul 28 and August 4.

The club also revealed that they will be reforming their reserve team for the 2018/19 season to play in the Lock Stock Premier Reserve League.

Trials for the squad will be held on Saturday, June 30 (10:30am) and Wednesday, July 4 at 7pm for anyone looking to join the set-up.

Coverley said: “We have had a fantastic response which is really positive and we’re looking to build a team of locally based players as part of a big push in the local community with the Academy now also set up with first class facilities on the 3G pitches at Llandrillo College and Eirias Park.”
