LLANDUDNO will take on Huws Gray Alliance side Porthmadog in a pre-season fixture change following the turmoil at Shaw Lane.

Iwan Williams’ side received an invitation to Port for this year’s Pathfinders Cup on Saturday, August 4 (2.30pm), after a scheduled clash with Lane had to be called off after the club folded.

Tudno’s new-look squad visit the Traeth as part of their preparations ahead of the new JD Welsh Premier League season, which will be the first full campaign in charge for the Caernarfon Town boss following his move last November.

Port have lost influential figures such as Cai Jones and Sion Bradley during the transfer window, with the pair looking to test themselves in the top flight after agreeing to join Sean Eardley at the Cofis.

Another notable absentee will be club stalwart Richard Harvey, with the goalkeeper retiring after a glittering spell spanning more than a decade.

Williams, said: “It will mean a great deal to me playing in the Pathfinders Cup.

“It’s a game played in fantastic atmosphere with over a 100 plus Pathfinders in attendance singing their hearts out as well as the Port faithful whom I have family and friends amongst.

“Hopefully our fans will treat it as a team bonding event also, and see our new look squad in earnest a week prior to the start of the season. And finally a big thanks to Port manager Craig Papirnyk for inviting us.”
