SPORTS reporter Dean Jones brings you his predictions ahead of a pivotal midweek fixture list in the Huws Gray Alliance.

Airbus Broughton vs Guilsfield

The Wingmakers are riding on the crest of a wave and they will be aiming for their eighth consecutive victory to begin the Huws Gray Alliance campaign against a Guils’ side who have been inconsistent so far this term.

It is hard to envisage anything other than a home win given the difference in both form and resources available between the two sides, and it already looks like it is going to take a monumental effort to catch the early pacesetters in their pursuit of promotion to the JD Welsh Premier League.

Prediction: Airbus Broughton 3-0 Guilsfield

Bangor City vs Conwy Borough

The Citizens will be looking to build on their positive victory last weekend, but they come up against a Boro side that have been a revelation so far this season.

It promises to be another huge test of resolve for Craig Harrison’s side, and although they will be without the services of striker Dean Seager the Tangerines are brimming with confidence and are aiming for their fourth win in six games.

Prediction: Bangor City 2-1 Conwy Borough

Buckley Town vs Ruthin Town

The home side will be hugely encouraged by their weekend performance to beat Guilsfield on their travels, but they come against an in-form Ruthin side who continue to make a significant impact despite their limited resources.

Last season’s top scorer Llyr Morris has picked up where he left off last term and his threat will need to be nullified if Buckley are going to get anything from this contest.

Prediction: Buckley Town 0-1 Ruthin Town

Denbigh Town vs Prestatyn Town

Matthew Jones and Dewi Llion’s men have finally hit their stride after an indifferent start, and this represents another good chance to pick up three points against a Prestatyn side that have struggled so far this season.

Football is all about momentum and confidence, something which Denbigh now possess after impressive wins at Rhyl and Holywell Town in the last fortnight.

Prediction: Denbigh Town 3-1 Prestatyn Town

Holywell Town vs Gresford Athletic

This is already a must-win game for the Wellmen, who will need to pick up some points relatively quickly if they are to avoid any further complications as the campaign progresses.

Athletic are more than capable of beating any side in the division on their day, and although they come into the clash having lost four of their last five games they do have difference-makers within their squad.

Prediction: Holywell Town 2-1 Gresford Athletic

Penrhyncoch vs Llanrhaeadr YM

The Roosters come into the game fresh on the back of their weekend postponement against Holyhead Hotspur, and they will be hoping they can put this to good use against a Llanrhaeadr side that have lost their last three.

They have been a formidable force at home but this has not yet transcended to away games, which could be key in this one.

Prediction: Penrhyncoch 2-0 Llanrhaeadr YM

Rhyl vs Flint Town United

This is a pivotal game for the Lilywhites, who cannot afford any more slip-ups if they want to remain in contention for promotion over the winter months.

It is a crucial few days for Eddie Maurice-Jones’ men, who also welcome Airbus Broughton to the Belle Vue Stadium on Saturday, but they will be getting no favours from former Lilies’ boss Niall McGuinness and his ambitious Silkmen who harbour championship ambitions of their own.

Prediction: Rhyl 2-2 Flint Town United

Holyhead Hotspur vs Porthmadog

Visiting the New Stadium in midweek is a daunting proposition even at this stage of the season, and Darren Garmey seems to getting the most out of his talented squad that has brought a series of impressive displays of late.

There is enough within this Port squad to given them a real game, and they are another side that have the capability to give anybody in this division a going over when the mood takes them.

Prediction: Holyhead Hotspur 1-1 Porthmadog
