A HOST of talented young cricketers were rewarded for their efforts at Llandudno’s annual Junior Presentation Evening.
Club chairman John Rimmington welcomed the mayor and mayoress of Llandudno, Cllr David and Mrs Mandy Hawkins, along with Miss Alice, Carys Lambe and honorary club member Carol Davies who had fundraised £235 for the junior section throughout the year.
The U9 awards were presented to Sophie Ledru and Carys Lambe as a result of their immense contributions throughout the summer, with Luke Marriott and Daniel Summer coming away with accolades from the U11 side.
Casey Bedford and Charley Russell were in fantastic form for the U13 squad during a busy series of fixtures and scooped awards, with the U15 section seeing Oliver Hughes-Whittaker and Dan Jones taking home honours from the event.
Special awards were given to Carol Davies for her fundraising and to Michelle Dace for her food preparation on numerous match days.
A special raffle at the awards raised £92 for the club’s junior section and the Mayor’s chosen charity Hope Restored and Aberconwy Mind.
The club have already booked its junior nets ahead of the new season, which begins at Ysgol y Creuddyn in Penrhyn Bay on February 8.
