Y GLANNAU kept alive their Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Division One championship hopes with a 6-2 win at Rhos United.

Rhys Clark got the visitors off to a flyer with the opener on four minutes, before a Ryan Jones brace gave them a two-goal cushion at the break after Shaun Middlehurst reduced the arrears on 28 minutes.

The second period saw Adam Hall and a two-goal salvo from Andrew Morris secure the points, with Simon Owen netting a consolation for the hosts late on.

Henllan also continued their excellent start to the season with a resounding 4-1 victory at Llanfairfechan Town Reserves.

A brace from Kevin Davies did the majority of the damage, with Dan Williams and Jac Glover also on target during a superb attacking display.

Rhuddlan Town Reserves were unable to capitalise on a Ryan Anderson treble as they fell to a 5-3 reverse at Penrhyn Bay Dragons, but there was better fortune for Llysfaen thanks to a 3-1 win at struggling Denbigh Development, with Alec Jones (2) and Jordan Ross finding the net for the away side.
