LLANDUDNO Amateurs closed the gap on Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division leaders Llansannan with a 4-1 home victory over Cerrigydrudion.

The title hopefuls used one of their games in hand to full effect during another accomplished display, and they got their noses in front on 15 minutes when the prolific Steve Kirk finished well following some neat build-up play.

This was followed by another for the hosts after 27 minutes which arrived courtesy of a powerful finish from Scott Court, but Cerrig responded well to the setback and got themselves back into the clash when Ellis Roberts converted an opportunity with 35 on the clock.

After the break saw the home side further impose themselves on proceedings on the hour mark when another impressive passing move was finished off by Luke O’Mahoney, and the promotion candidates wrapped up their triumph on 80 when Kirk rounded off another outstanding individual display with his second of the afternoon.
