LLANDUDNO Cricket Club celebrated another successful season at their end of year Presentation Evening.
The North Wales Cricket League Premier Division side narrowly missed out on the title after being in contention for the majority of the campaign, and Danial Evans was rewarded for his exceptional efforts throughout the summer with the Player of the Year honour for their first team.
The talented all-rounder also picked up the Bowling Award, with wicketkeeper Keegan Armstrong scooping the Batting and Fielding distinctions in recognition of a fine first season for the Lions.
Teenage batting sensation Mathew Jones also received a prize for his superb match-winning effort against Connah’s Quay, with Luke Sumner claiming a host of different accolades following a magnificent campaign with their second unit.
The club also received some positive news this week after securing funding from the Aviva Community Fund, which will be used to provide equipment for various age groups within their youth set-up ahead of the 2019 season.
They were shortlisted for the funding following successful application process and secured a significant amount of public votes in order to obtain the grant.
