LLANDUDNO maintained their advantage at the WRU National League Division One North summit after a thumping 52-0 bonus point win over Llangefni.

The Goats have been in relentless form throughout the campaign and turned on the style once again to remain narrowly clear of the chasing pack, with Morgan Owen going over for the first try of the contest after just four minutes, Nick Dundee fired over the conversion.

This was swiftly followed by another attacking move on 12 minutes that saw Lloyd Evans cross the white wash, with Bob Evans also going over soon after to further reflect their dominance Dundee hit one of the conversion attempts.

The onslaught continued and further tries came before the half time whistle from Dan O’Sullivan and Davies, giving the title hopefuls a comfortable cushion at the interval.

It was a case of more of the same after the break, with Evans scoring his second of the afternoon after another outstanding spell of phases. Dundee fired over the extras.

Another telling break saw Rhys Henderson touch down on 68 minutes, converted by Dundee, and Davies capped off a superb display with his hat-trick to round off the afternoon two minutes from time as they sealed their ninth successive league triumph in comfortable fashion.

Nant Conwy are now seven points off the Goats in third spot after a hard-fought 26-12 victory at Denbigh.

Rachel Taylor’s Colwyn Bay continued their recent WRU National League Division Two resurgence with a 13-8 success at Welshpool, which was the former Welsh women’s international’s third league win in nine outings since taking over at the club earlier this summer.
