HENLLAN closed the gap on Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Division One leaders Llanelwy Athletic with a convincing 3-0 victory at Llysfaen.

The promotion hopefuls continued their excellent run of recent results with another polished display, ensuring the gap is now seven points with both sides having played the same number of games.

The visitors wasted no time in stamping their authority on proceedings and they went ahead after just two minutes when Alex Ballard finished well following the first notable attack of the contest.

This was followed by a spell of dominance that resulted in a host of missed opportunities for the away side, who had to wait until after the interval to double their advantage when Jason Hessian converted an opportunity thanks to some neat passing in the build-up.

Another impressive move brought further success midway through the half, and once again it was Ballard who was on the finishing end to steer home for the title hopefuls after 67 minutes to round off the scoring and continue his excellent recent run of individual form.
