LLANDUDNO Amateurs produced a stunning comeback to secure a 3-2 home win over Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division leaders Llansannan.

Despite the eventual result it was Gari Evans and Tom Lewis’ side that began the game brighter, and they were rewarded on 15 minutes when Ifan Jones converted a chance following a period of pressure.

Things got even better for the visitors when they doubled their tally through an own goal on 25 minutes, but the hosts saw a complete turnaround in their fortunes after the break and halved the deficit through Mathew Beach with 50 gone.

This was swiftly followed by a leveller which came courtesy of the prolific Ste Kirk on 55 minutes, and they managed to secure a crucial three points with 67 on the clock when Mike Chapman rounded off the scoring.

The result now leaves the newly promoted side 12 points behind the long-time leaders, although they do have five games in hand on their title rivals.

Abergele dented the championship hopes of Llanfairfechan Town as goals from Sam Ashton, Jack Hoult and James Lloyd gave them an eye-catching 3-0 success on their travels, with a stoppage time effort from Rhidian Williams enough to give Machno United a 2-2 home draw with Bro Cernyw.

Rhuddlan Town also picked up a valuable point with a thrilling 4-4 draw at Cerrigydrudion, with a brace from Jordan Bellham going a long way to securing a share of the spoils for the away side.
