HENLLAN moved to within three points of Vale of Clayd and Conwy League Division One leaders Llanelwy Athletic with a 5-2 home win over Betws-y-Coed.

Alex Ballard turned in a sensational first half display and produced a series of clinical finishes to net a first half hat-trick to give his side a commanding cushion, and Owain Jones guaranteed another three points with a brace in the final ten minutes.

A stunning individual contribution from Ryan Jones saw Y Glannua emerge from their home clash with basement dwellers Denbigh Development with a comfortable 4-0 success.

Jones pounced to open the scoring for the hosts after a positive opening on 24 minutes, and Rhys Tomos Clark doubled their tally with a minute remaining of the first period.

After the interval saw Jones converted his second of the afternoon to all-but seal victory on 58 minutes, and another stern period of pressure resulted in a fourth that came courtesy of Aaron Gregson with 74 on the clock.

A hat-trick from the prolific Luke Jones gave Penrhyn Bay Dragons a convincing 4-1 win at Llysfaen, with Rhos United reaching the Bryn Dinas Sports Bar REM Jones Cup semi-finals thanks to a 5-3 triumph at Llanfairfechan Town Reserves. Trevor Jones, Si Owen, Phemmy Allson, Richard Birdmore and Joshua Morris on target for the visitors.
