LLANDUDNO Cricket Club held a special fundraising event as they look to install a defibrillator at their ground.

The horse racing night was held on Saturday, February 9 and managed to raise £283 towards the overall total, and this is the latest in a series of charity events for club and community causes in recent weeks.

The North Wales Cricket League Premier Division side donated £111 for the Mayor of Llandudno’s local charities in January, and they plan to hold a similar fundraising evening in April to raise money for Ysgol San Sior.

This will be followed by another event later in the year, with all proceeds going towards St David’s Hospice.

There are still places available on the club’s junior nets programme, which began a fortnight ago and is open to aspiring cricketers aged five and over.

Anyone wishing to send their child to the sessions should contact the club on 01492 871966 after 6pm.
