LLANDUDNO have moved quickly to bolster their coaching staff after granting manager Iwan Williams compassionate leave until the end of the season.

The JD Welsh Premier League side announced that the well-respected Mark Orme has joined the backroom staff on a temporary basis to assist with the transition, and the move came just a day before Tudno took the field for their crucial clash at home to Llanelli Town at the Giant Hospitality Stadium.

Tudno’s current U19’s boss will make the step up to their senior set-up until the end of the current campaign as the club looks to secure a spot in the top division despite their current predicament at the foot of the standings.

Orme will join current assistant manager Mark Cowan, along with first team coaches Steve Williams and Grant Montgomery, in assisting with the fight in the crucial months ahead.

He will not only stay on as U19 manager during this time thanks to the assistance of Martyn Jones and Craig Crossfield, but the fixtures have been kind enough to allow the defender to keep turning out for Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Two leaders Glan Conwy as they look to secure promotion to the third tier.

Orme enjoyed a standout playing career at the likes of Holywell Town, Denbigh Town, Conwy United and Llangefni Town, and he took over at Tudno from Sean Eardley after he stepped down due to his increasing commitments at Caernarfon Town.
