COLWYN Bay FC have received a massive boost with news manager Craig Hogg has penned a new deal at the club.

The Seagulls’ boss has agreed a five-year deal to remain at the club, and he will oversee their transition to the Welsh pyramid system alongside director of football Neil Coverley.

Hogg has done a tremendous job in difficult circumstances so far this season after taking over from Alan Morgan, forming a talented young squad that are playing in the right way and have recorded some impressive results since the turn of the year.

His new deal runs until May 2024 and Hogg signed on the dotted line after hearing the vision set out by the Seagulls’ board and Coverley.

Hogg, said: I’m delighted to have committed my future to Colwyn Bay FC and I thank the board of directors for giving me the opportunity to be manager here for the next five years.

“It’s a huge personal honour to lead this great club from the dug out and it’s something I will never ever take for granted whilst in post.

“I would like to thank everyone connected to the Bay for supporting me since I became manager 7 months ago, I hope to repay you all with success on the pitch in the years to come.

“The project I have been presented with excites me and is something I really buy into. I’m looking forward to what the future could hold for the club.

“The road map and milestones ahead will become clearer by the end of this week and once the FAW Pyramid application has concluded. We all await that decision with much interest.

“There will be a great deal of work to undertake and that is something I will never shy away from. I’m looking forward to playing my part in helping the club to achieve what it desires.

“I feel that a certain brand of football has been brought to the club in recent months and I will endeavour to make sure that the identity we now have will remain as the bed rock for both our academy and first team moving forward.

“I will be working closely with the club’s Director of Football and I will be making additions to the management team and playing staff once this season has finished and as the need arises.

“As a club, town and fan base it will be so important that we all earn the right together to take this club forward - that attitude will never ever change whilst I’m manager of the Bay and I’m really looking forward to the next five years here.”
