ST ASAPH City Reserves manager Dean Cotton signed off in style with a 6-1 home victory over Betws-y-Coed.

The Saints’ boss announced his decision to step down following their final Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Division One clash of the season, with their final fixture success leaving them in fifth spot.

Cotton, said: “It’s been a great two years with great people, and I wish all the club and lads every success in the future.”

The home side were in fantastic form throughout, with Lewis Thomas and Steve Falvey helping themselves to a brace apiece during the rout.

Ben Patterson and Sam Stopforth also found the net for the hosts, who won nine of their 20 league games this season.

A free-flowing attacking game between Llanfairfechan Town Reserves and Penrhyn Bay Dragons ended in a 3-3 stalemate.

The Dragons opened the scoring on their travels when Jack Carey finished well on eight minutes, but they were pegged back a minute before the break when Aaron Davies converted an opportunity.

After the interval saw the visitors go ahead once again when the impressive Matt Coppack steered in on 57 minutes, but Town struck back almost instantly Tom Croston hit the target with 63 gone.

The away side regained the initiative for a third time when Carey turned in his second of the contest, but an Elliot Croston effort with 73 on the clock ensured both sides had something to show from an entertaining affair.
