LLANDUDNO FC’s JD Welsh Premier League status is on the line this weekend when they travel to Carmarthen Town.

The struggling side know that they must win on the road against the Old Gold to keep their survival hopes alive, with a defeat confirming their relegation from the top-flight following a four-year stay.

Things have not been easy for Tudno this year after multiple changes in the summer, with manager Iwan Williams given compassionate leave by the club to take care of his sick father during a crucial stage of the campaign.

They have been in better form since the start of Phase Two, but their home loss at the hands of Aberystwyth Town last time out has them eight points adrift of safety with four games remaining.

This gap would be 11 with three to play should they lose at Carmarthen, and with games against Cardff Met, basement dwellers Llanelli Town and Cefn Druids still to come it would take a monumental effort from the group to climb of a bottom two berth that they have occupied for the majority of the season.

The club have confirmed a second contact date for anyone looking to gain a place on their upcoming scholarship initiative.

Hopefuls will get the chance to showcase their talent on Wednesday, April 3 at The Giant Hospitality Stadium, with the scheme being run in partnership with LLS, specialists in Sports Coaching and Education.

Anyone wishing to attend can register their interest at YourFuture@llsonline.uk or by calling 0151 294 3229.
