BODEDERN Athletic manager Ricky Williams has been rewarded for his side’s exceptional form with a coveted award.

The talented young boss scooped the Queensferry Sports Welsh Alliance Division One Manager of the Month for March after a sensational run of recent result that sees them with a fantastic chance of claiming their title in their first season operating in the third tier.

Athletic are on an incredible 12-match winning run, which leaves them one point behind league-leading Llangefni Town with a game in hand as the championship race looks to be heading to the wire.

Williams is widely regarded as one of the brightest young managers anywhere in the region, spearheading Athletic’s progression on and off the pitch in recent years and securing promotion from Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Two last term.

In addition to their sensational league exploits, Athletic also reached the semi-final of the FAW Trophy during what has been one of the finest campaigns in the club’s recent history.

The likes of Aden Clark and Steven Whittaker have provided the firepower for the title hopefuls throughout, with Williams assembling a squad with plenty of talent and experience who are all pulling in the same direction.
