BRYNGWRAN BULLS' potential Anglesey League title celebrations were put on hold as they fell to a 2-1 loss to Cefni last night.

Cefni, finally being able to play a home game at Isgraig in Llangefni after a season-long dispute, inflicted The Bulls' second league defeat upon them.

Ben Wright and former Bryngwran man Nathan Lewis were the stars of the show as Cefni impressed in front of a decent crowd of spectators.

Gwynfor Owen had pulled it back to 1-1 on 83mins for The Bulls but Cefni struck even later than that to snatch the three points and a massive win which sees them finish fourth in the table in their debut season.

The result leaves The Bulls needing a win in their final league fixture against Arriva Bangor on April 30 to clinch the title. Failure to do so will hand the championship to rivals Caergybi.

In May of last year, Richard Owen's side missed out on the title on the final day. They needed just a point to be crowned champions against Mynydd Tigers, but the latter came out on top with a 4-2 win at Bangor's 3G pitch.

They will be desperately looking to avoid a repeat of that scenario when April 30 comes around.
