COLWYN Bay have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Julian Williams.

The Seagulls’ confirmed the return of Williams from FAW Tier Two Northern Championship rivals Porthmadog this week, boosting a forward line that already includes Joe Chaplin, Damian Ketley and Mitchell Bryant.

The 24-year-old hails from Llanrwst and played a starring role in Port’s third-placed finish last term, emerging as their top scorer for the second season in succession.

He is no stranger to the Four Crosses Construction Arena having enjoyed a previous spell at the club in 2017, when Williams was signed by Phill Hadland.

Williams made his debut in a 2-1 home defeat to Ramsbottom United and secured five appearances in total.

Manager Craig Hogg, said: “We are really pleased that Julian has agreed to join us here at Colwyn Bay.

“He is a player who has been here before a few years ago under a different regime, and when we met this week he told me feels like he has some unfinished business here. That attitude and desire to do well came across very well indeed.

“He is a local lad living in Llanrwst and is a player who has consistently performed very well at Tier 2 North level and for a number of years now. His performances at Porthmadog FC last season stood out in particular.

“He is a great athlete, a player with much quality and someone who offers us a number of different options from a midfield and final third attacking point of view.

“We are extremely happy that he wants to be part of the project at the Bay and are all looking forward to working with him."
