LLANDUDNO have confirmed the signing of talented young forward Aaron Pomeyie.

The skilful wide man has been training at the FAW Tier 2 North League side throughout the summer in the hope of securing a permanent place in the squad, which also saw him turn in two impressive displays in the club’s first two pre-season contests.

Manager Matthew Jones is no stranger to Pomeyie, with the pair working together closely at Rhyl, and the player also enjoyed a spell at Holywell Town last season to further enhance his experience at second tier level.

Jones, said: "I'm delighted to be bringing Azza into the group at this stage.

“Azza is a player I've worked with before at Rhyl and I watched him closely at Holywell last season, so I know what he can bring to the side.

"He's played two 45 minutes over the two games so far and has impressed so we are pleased to get this one sorted nice and quickly."

The young attacker joined Rhyl in November 2017 and made ten appearances for the Lilywhites during the season.

He began his fledgling career as a member of the Liverpool FC Academy system after being signed up aged just eight, and he has also represented Morecambe, Runcorn Town and Carmel Lairds.
