CONWY Borough have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Liam Morris.

The talented forward joins the ranks at Y Morfa from recently promoted Llangefni Town, where he enjoyed a hugely successfully campaign after arriving from Gaerwen last summer.

Morris played a significant role for Chris Roberts’ side as the season wore on, coming up with some vital goals to help Cefni clinch the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One title and a promotion to the FAW Tier 2 North League.

He further enhanced his growing reputation as one of the best young finishers anywhere in the region at the Huws Gray Inter Island Games tournament with the Ynys Mon squad, with Morris playing a starring role on their way to a memorable gold medal success on home soil in front of thousands of supporters.

Club Director Darren Griffiths, said: “Liam is an exciting young player who has impressed pre-season and we are really pleased to have him involved.”

Morris will now look to continue his exceptional run of recent form at a higher standard, where he looks set to form a partnership with striker Corrig McGonigle after he committed his future to the Tangerines despite interest from elsewhere.

He will also be given the opportunity to fill the void left by striker Dean Seager, who departed the club earlier this summer to re-join Llandudno.
