LLANDUDNO FC bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Alfons Fosu-Mensah.

The talented striker returns to the Giant Hospitality Stadium for a second spell with the club, with the Dutch native turning out four times in their JD Welsh Premier League campaign last term.

The 22-year-old rose to prominence as a member of the Airbus Broughton side in 2017, where he signed a professional contract and netted 16 goals in 22 outings for the Wingmakers.

He is no stranger to the new management team at Tudno, having worked with manager Matthew Jones at Denbigh Town last season, and the forward is the brother of highly touted Manchester United prospect Timothy Fosu-Mensah.

Jones, said: “I am delighted to be able to bring Alfons in, especially with the start of the season just around the corner.

“I worked with him briefly at Denbigh where he impressed me massively, with his attitude and application. He really will fit in well with this group and I believe he will bring something different to us.”

Fosu-Mensah will join a new-look Tudno squad that has undergone a complete overhaul during another eventful summer at the club, who are looking to secure promotion back to the JD Cymru Premier at the first time of asking.

“I’m delighted to be back at Llandudno, and to have signed with Matty. I’m really looking forward to the season and to get going now,” added the player.

The transfer is subject to international clearance, which is expected to be approved.
