PENMAENMAWR Phoenix were in ruthless mood during their 7-1 home rout over Kinmel Bay.

The Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Two side produced their best attacking display of the campaign to secure their second straight win, with Alfie Caldecott’s clinical display playing a leading role in their overall success.

The forward picked up a hat-trick as a result of his outstanding efforts, with Aaron Keating (2), Elfan Jones and Mike Lundstram rounding off the scoring.

Prolific duo Asa Thomas and Gary Jo Owen extended their exceptional start to the season in Holyhead Town’s 5-1 demolition of Llandudno Junction.

Thomas’ treble and Owen’s brace were once again the difference for the Harbourmen, and the pair have now netted 18 times between them in their opening six contests.

A two-goal salvo from Cory Sinnott was the highlight of Gwalchmai’s dramatic 3-2 victory at Mochdre Sports, and Paul Lewis’ hat-trick for Pwllheli ended Gaerwen’s perfect start in an eye-catching 4-1 win on their travels.

Rhys Rowlands’ last-minute effort was enough for Amlwch Town to seal a 3-2 home win over Pentraeth, with Ciran Jones, Nico Clwyd and Emyr Clwyd on target for promotion hopefuls Llannefydd in their 3-1 triumph over newly promoted Llandudno Amateurs.

Another victor from the midweek fixtures were Y Felinheli, who had goals from Iwan Owen, Rhys Parry and Owain Roberts to thank for a 3-2 victory over Barmouth and Dyffryn United.
