LLANDUDNO Albion fought back from a goal down to secure a 2-1 home triumph over Nantlle Vale.

The Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One title hopefuls had to work extremely hard for another valuable three points against a spirited Vale side, who opened the scoring on 39 minutes when Sion Williams produced a neat finish to break the deadlock.

Darren Jones’ men came out with a renewed sense of purpose after the break, and they levelled proceedings thanks to an impressive finish from Dan Evans with 75 on the clock.

This swung momentum firmly in favour of the home side and they took full advantage of this on 87 minutes when prolific forward Dave Maddock made the most of some space to fire in a decisive winner for the promotion hopefuls.

Newly promoted Glan Conwy picked up another positive result in their 2-2 home draw with St Asaph City.

The home side went into the break with the advantage thanks to an excellent finish from Connor Davies on 38 minutes, but the Saints responded well after the break and restored parity to the score thanks to a Josh Brown effort with 55 gone.

This provoked a strong spell of pressure from the home side, who regained the initiative on 75 minutes when recent signing Lee Ellis turned in a chance for his first goal in Glan colours.

Credit to the away side, they kept plugging away and got their reward late on when Stewart White unleashed a ferocious strike that flew into the top corner a minute from time to ensure both sides had something to show for their efforts.

There was no such luck for Llanrwst United, who fell to a 2-0 home reverse at the hands of Greenfield thanks to goals from Sam Jones and Connor Hughes.
