LLANDUDNO face a tricky looking trip to Holywell Town in the JD Welsh Cup first round.

Matthew Jones’ men will be aiming to avoid an upset against a resurgent Wrexham Area League outfit, who have started the season in fine form after a turbulent summer thanks to Bangor City’s dispute with the Football Association of Wales.

The JD Cymru North side have shown signs of life in recent weeks after an inconsistent start, and Johnny Haseldin will be hoping to utilise home field advantage to knock off the former Europa League qualifiers.

Colwyn Bay will face fellow second tier opposition during their trip to Corwen, who parted ways with manager Danny Jellicoe and assistant Tom Mutton by mutual consent on Tuesday.

Another side that will face a team from the same division are JD Cymru North high-flyers Conwy Borough, who welcome Ruthin Town to Y Morfa.

The Tangerines hosted Chris Hardy’s side last month in the league, with the game finishing 1-1.
