LLANDUDNO Amateurs Reserves came from a goal down on two occasions to secure a 2-2 home draw with Denbigh Development.

The only Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Division One game of the weekend brought plenty of drama and a share of the spoils for both sides, with the remainder of the fixtures falling victim to the torrential rain that battered the region over a 48-hour period.

Craig Morris’ side have shown signs of life in recent weeks and began their latest road game on the front foot, getting their noses in front on 27 minutes when Aaron Williams made the most of the space afforded to him for the opener.

Some resolute defending from the visitors prevented the Amateurs from levelling matters during the remainder of the first period, but they were not to be denied after the break when James Kane broke clear and finished well just a minute into the half.

Credit to the away side, they responded well to the setback and managed to regain the initiative on 64 minutes thanks to talented youngster Joel Rowlands, who showed his quality with a fine strike that flew into the corner.

The home side remained undeterred and got back on level terms shortly after thanks to a goal from Stan Farrell with 70 on the clock, which ensured both sides had something to show from and entertaining affair that leaves both on six points for the season so far.
