LLANFAIRFECHAN Town turned in another stylish attacking display to come away with a 6-1 victory at Llandudno Athletic.

The Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division side have managed to seal six wins from their opening seven games, leaving them two points behind current pacesetters Rhuddlan Town with one in hand on their championship rivals.

They made light work of their latest outing against Rhys Lane’s side, with Meurig Evans rewarded for another impressive individual display with a two-goal salvo to play a leading role in his side’s success.

Harry Croston, Ryan Lewis, Sion Devereux and Ellis Jones also hit the target for the away side during the rout, with Nathan Williams netting Athletic’s consolation.

Y Glannau picked up their first league success at the ninth attempt with a 4-2 home triumph over basement dwellers Rhos United.

Two goals in the opening ten minutes from Kyle Hulme and Joey Fontana got the hosts off to the best possible start, and this was swiftly followed by strikes from Fran Roberts and Owain Jones to give them a commanding advantage with just 15 on the clock.

The visitors tried valiantly to get themselves back into the game, but despite Aaron Hands and Chris King netting either side of the break it was not enough to recover from their poor start.

Just one point continues to separate Meliden and Llanelwy Athletic in the standings after a 1-1 draw between the derby rivals.

Elliot Hughes looked to have secured all three points for the Miners late on when he finished well on 74 minutes, but the newly promoted side managed to regroup quickly and claimed a draw on their travels thanks to a Dan Price effort.
