RHYL FC have bolstered their squad with the loan signing of midfielder Conor Harwood.

The talented youngster arrives at the Educate Group Stadium for the rest of the season from JD Cymru Premier title challengers Connah’s Quay Nomads.

Harwood made history by becoming the first player born in this millennium to feature in the top-flight when he made his debut for Andy Morrison’s men aged 16 on Boxing Day in 2016.

He has made only five starts for the senior squad this season in addition to a large number of contributions from the bench, including against the Lilywhites’ in their Nathaniel MG Cup clash earlier in the campaign.

The player is no stranger to the JD Cymru North having turned out for Conwy Borough last season on loan, where he netted three times in 11 appearances for the Tangerines.

First team coach Alun Williams, said: “We would like to thank Connah's Quay for allowing Conor out on loan to join us.

“Conor is a very talented footballer and we are hoping to help him on his journey towards playing regularly in the JD Cymru Premier."

There was further good news for the Lilies’ as striker Arek Piskorski’s loan from Cefn Druids was turned into a permanent deal.

The Polish forward made a lasting impression at the Educate Group Stadium during his first few weeks after arriving earlier this season, despite suffering a number of injuries that hampered his overall impact on the squad.

He managed to hit the target five times in 12 appearances for Eddie Maurice-Jones’ men before returning to the Rock, but he re-joined the club last month for a second loan spell before agreeing to stay on for an established period of time.

Piskorski joined Cefn Druids in 2017 and was part of their Europa League squad at the start of the 2018/19 campaign, starting in both games for the Ancients’ against Trakai of Lithuania.

The hard-working player also represented Flint Town United on the domestic scene, in addition to Elana Torun, Rocko Konojady, WDA Swiecie, Grom Osie and Victoria Koronowo in his homeland.
