THREE Prestatyn Town FC legends will be speaking about their time at the club during a special event this weekend.

An evening with Andy Parkinson, Lee Jones and Neil Gibson will take place at the JD Cymru North’s Motion Finance Stadium clubhouse on Saturday, February 22, with doors opening at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

The night, entitled ‘Tales from the Dressing Room’ will centre on the decorated trio’s time in football and in particular with the Seasiders.

Gibson is the current Town manager and one of the most successful people ever associated with the club. He masterminded their Welsh Cup win as a player-manager and is on track to guide his side back to the JD Cymru Premier at the second time of asking.

He also enjoyed spells at Tranmere Rovers and Sheffield Wednesday as a youngster and was capped at youth level by Wales.

Jones is perhaps best known for his time at Wrexham AFC before making a high-profile love to Liverpool.

His time at Anfield was cut short thanks in no small part to serious leg injury, which was followed by spells at Tranmere, Barnsley and Crewe Alexandra.

The striker’s first domestic side was Caernarfon Town, where he scored 24 goals in 65 appearances that secured a move to the Seasiders.

Parkinson made almost senior 500 appearances at various clubs in England and Wales during his career, with the respected figure currently serving as the youth team manager at Tranmere.

He notched an impressive 36 goals in Town colours from 2012-15 and also lists Notts County, Sheffield United, Grimsby Town and Accrington Stanley among his former clubs.

Tickets for the event are priced at £7 and include food at the interval. They can be bought at the ground on Wednesday and Thursday from 6-7pm or contact Prestatyn Town’s social media sites to arrange local delivery.
