ABERGELE booked their place in the North Wales Coast Football Association Junior Cup with a resounding 7-1 home victory at Caergybi.
The Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division title hopefuls made light work of their latest knockout competition contest to reach the last eight, where they have been handed another winnable home fixture against Llangoed in their ongoing pursuit of silverware.
Gele’s prolific striker Jack Hoult managed to hit the target with two of the chances that came his way during the rout, extending his impressive run of form in front of goal after returning to the club following a short spell at Prestatyn Town last season.
Another former Prestatyn squad member also played a significant part in proceedings, with James Hay adding his name to the scoresheet with a fine strike that was reward for an outstanding overall individual display.
The hosts were rampant for the majority of the contest to book their place in the hat with minimal fuss, and this brought further good fortune in the final third as Chris Davies, Sam Ashton, Dominic Holland and Jack Lloyd Williams also converting opportunities.
The visitors did manage to net a consolation through prolific forward Gary Jo Owen, but this failed to have an impact on the outcome of the tie.
