TITLE challengers Llysfaen and the North Football Association feature heavily in an unofficial Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Division One team of the season.

Following a public vote on the league’s Facebook page, which was organised by Llandudno Athletic manager Rhys Lane, saw seven of the 11 selected come from the top-two.

They have been a class apart this season and were set to go down to the wire before the domestic season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Llysfaen’s talented goalkeeper Cain Foley was named to the side, in addition to teammates Alec Jones and Josh Williams in the back four.

Supremely gifted Player of the Season candidate Sean Sheridan was picked as the left midfielder to round off the choices from Emlyn Jones’ men.

The NFA boast three in the squad, with midfield duo Matthew Robinson and Steve Falvey rewarded for their outstanding contribution throughout the campaign to date.

Prolific striker Jordan Taylor has been at the top of his game this term and is also included.

Llandudno Amateurs Reserves were represented by defenders Sean Sharp and Stan Farrell, with the latter now playing for Llandudno Athletic.

Elliot Croston has been one of the league’s standout performers this term for Llanfairfechan Town Reserves and he earned a spot on the team in central midfield.

Rounding off the side is Joel Rowlands, a clinical young striker from Denbigh Development who has progressed considerably throughout the campaign.
