IT’S not just in the Premier Division where there’s an epic battle for a lofty position.

The same is also true in Division One, where half of the teams still harbour genuine hopes of achieving a top-two spot.

With a decent buffer at the head of the rankings are Llandudno, who are faced with a trip to fifth-placed Gresford tomorrow.

Gresford are 26 points off second-placed Pontblyddyn, who have a trek to face basement side Bangor Seconds, who are already relegated.

Halkyn are on a charge to achieve a top-two spot and they will be targeting their 16th success of the summer away to out-of-form Conwy.

Northop Seconds should feel confident of securing a positive outcome from their trip to Mochdre Seconds, while Connah’s Quay, who have lost three on the spin, will look to turn their fortunes around at home to in-form Buckley. Elsewhere, Bethesda have home advantage versus Abergele.

Sunday East League fixtures: Bersham 3rds v Buckley 3rds; Connah’s Quay 3rds v Northop Hall 4ths; Hawarden Park 4ths v Pontblyddyn 3rds; Mold 3rds v Gwersyllt Park 3rds; Northop 4ths v Brymbo 4ths.
