SO, we’ve reached a rare point in Phil Parkinson’s stewardship at Wrexham.

Success has followed success over the past five years, but long-time fans know you’ve got to knuckle down on occasion and battle your way through adversity.

That time’s arrived, with the team needing to show fans some fight during two eye-catching matches this week.

Wolves are heading to town for a Saturday lunchtime clash, but before then is tonight’s small matter of welcoming Middlesbrough.

It’s just over a year since the Reds ended Coventry’s unbeaten start in style and while a similar outcome would be a bonus, supporters will be wanting to see some fight and passion from the players who take to the pitch.

Wrexham may not bury the Boro, but they need to know they are in a Racecourse scrap.

On a positive note, a number of players are gradually getting back to fitness. Ben Sheaf started the game against Sheffield United, while welcome appearances off the bench were supplied by Max Cleworth and George Thomason.

OUR PREDICTIONS:

WREXHAM 1 MIDDLESBROUGH 2 NICK HARRISON

WREXHAM 1 MIDDLESBROUGH 1 RICHARD WILLIAMS

WREXHAM 0 MIDDLESBROUGH 2 SHAUN DAVIES

THE SCORES SO FAR... SHAUN DAVIES 13; NICK HARRISON 5; RICHARD WILLIAMS 5
