GRESFORD ATHLETIC are looking to get themselves into a rhythm following a stop-start autumn so far.

Anthony Weaver’s side returned to action with their 2-1 defeat versus Ruthin Town last weekend, their first run-out in three weeks.

Next up is tonight’s big trip to Bangor City 1876. There were fears Gresford may have been rusty for their crucial clash with Ruthin and Weaver admitted: “We got into a good rhythm, but probably for us, the break came at the wrong time.

“We started the (Ruthin) game well. After a couple of weeks off, I was worried, but we started well enough. But, it was two defensive mistakes.”

Gresford improved in the second half and they will be looking to take this into their big match at Huw Griffiths’ Bangor.

“I think they are starting to find their feet,” added Weaver, who hopes to have Corey Morgan back for tonight.

“For anyone going there, it’s going to be tough. We will embrace it. It’s a Friday night under the lights.”

Newtown will move to within a point of leaders Brickfield if they can pick up the three point at Ruthin Town this evening.

Bala Town have home advantage against Guilsfield and Caersws pay a visit to basement side Penrhyncoch in tonight’s remaining encounters.

Tomorrow, Rhyl 1879 entertain Holyhead Hotspur in ex-Mold boss Barry Owen’s first match at the helm, while Llanuwchllyn go to Porthmadog.
