LLANDUDNO turned in another impressive effort to come away with a 30-26 victory at WRU National League Division One North rivals Bethesda.

Despite the eventual result it was the home side who struck first with an interception try courtesy on Louis Jones, but the visitors responded well and got back into the game when Dan Colclough went over, with Byrom Davies adding the extras.

Davies extended their advantage with a well-struck penalty soon after, and things got even better when Lloyd Evans finished off an impressive sequence to cross the white wash.

The assured boot of Davies converted the try, but Pesda managed to hit a penalty for the final points of the first period to keep them in the game.

After the break saw another penalty and a try from the home side put them in the ascendancy, but Llan regrouped well once again and Davies dotted over for a deserved score after superb approach play from Morgan Owen.

The outstanding Davies despatched another penalty successfully heading into the closing stages, and the away side held their nerve in the closing stages to claim a hard-fought triumph ahead of their North Wales Plate clash at home to Ruthin on Saturday (2.30pm).
