RESIDENTS in Old Colwyn have been urged to "remove all valuables and lock their car doors" following another theft in the village.

North Wales Police's Community Safety Central team tweeted that a vehicle on Wynn Avenue North was broken into and a handbag stolen.

It comes after officers warned of a break-in on Bryn Coed Coch on Sunday night.

"We have had a further report of cars been broken into in Old Colwyn," police said. "A car on Wynn Avenue North was unfortunately left open and a handbag was stolen from the passenger seat.

"If you know anyone who lives in the area let them know to remove all valuables and lock their car doors."
