A NEW takeaway serving gourmet burgers and more is set to open in Colwyn Bay later this week.
“The Byre” will be based on Conway Road, and is to celebrate its first day of business on Thursday (April 20).
As well as gourmet burgers, it will also serve loaded fries and ice cream milkshakes.

It will be run jointly between two former chefs: Scott MacAlpine, originally from Scotland but who has lived in Colwyn Bay for the last 10 to 15 years; and Jake Jones, from Llysfaen.
Scott previously worked at Bryn Williams at Porth Eirias, and both also have experience of the kitchen at Llandudno’s Dunoon Hotel.
This will be their first venture into the business world.
Scott said: “We thought it would be a good area for a takeaway.
“It’s a busy road, so there should be lots of customers, and the beach in Colwyn Bay attracts a lot more tourists through the summer, so there are lots more potential customers there.”
The Byre will be open from 2-10.30pm from Sunday through to Thursday, and 2-11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
