THE Victorian Extravaganza in Llandudno saw huge crowds attend across the Bank Holiday weekend.

Held for roughly 35 years, the extravaganza made its annual return on Saturday (April 29), with more festivities taking place on the Sunday and Monday.

Huge crowds lined the streets as food vendors, market stalls and businesses thrived, as well those who ran the rides.

Victorian Extravaganza celebrates return to Llandudno!

Second day of the Victorian Extravaganza in Llandudno!

With a helter skelter, several Ferris wheels, prize-winning game stalls, a variety of rollercoasters, and dodgems, there was plenty for people to do, especially thrill-seekers.

Rollercoasters and rides included a pendulum, waltzers, a huge swing chair skyrider, and a retro carousel.

Mario Morris Outdoor Magic Experience impressed audiences, with balloon artist Lady Vee adding a creative spark.

Andrew Van Buren Circus Workshop and Magic Shows provided some tricks, and The P.U.G.S and Côr Meibion Maelgwn also made appearances.

The Ghost Buskers, George Formby Society, Ghost Buskers, Linzi Grace School of Dance, and North Wales Rock Choir all delighted crowds with their performances, and there were the more vintage attractions such as the old vehicles.

This year has also seen a return of the “Steam Arena”, a window dressing competition, a new-look Victorian dress contest, a best-dressed stall competition, with some people donning their best Victorian outfits.

Businesses such as Jim's Ices, Ridiculously Rich by Alana, Sisarikg Crafts, Tammy’s Face Painting, and more were also in attendance.

Poems by Margaret Mary Hoggard could be seen on day one, while The Racoons and Nastee Chaple performed on the Monday.

One business, Happily Ever After on Mostyn Street, said this was the busiest they had ever been, adding that this year’s Extravaganza had “blown last year’s out the water”.

The Llandudno Transport Festival was held simultaneously, with a ‘hop on, hope off’ shuttle bus service taking people to Bodafon Fields for the 1,000-strong vehicle exhibit, with a parade held in Llandudno on Sunday evening.
